that we tend to call the holidays.
And I'm sorry i haven't posted since easter but well, i am lazy.
So here's a recap.
My holidays consisted of piercings, many gatherings, sleep-ins, window-shopping, cruisin', random movie-nights, an allmost sunrise, party music, plenty of late nights, Hornblower, more wishing-i-had-certain-clothing-item and the people i love.
So yes, i got my belly button pierced exactly two weeks ago today and i'm in LOVE with it. It's just small, plain and simple but I am now craving more piercings =P
There's been a lot of rave over the pain, but honestly i didn't think it was that bad. And can i point out that I was in there ALONE, my step-dad deciding to just wait outside. Gripping the chair i braced myself for the worst but it wasn't too bad.
Sore for a couple of days later, yes, plus i had to go spend the night with a whole bunch of males, but surprisingly they were gently (thankgod).
Many band practices have also consumed my time these holidays as we're preparing for our upcoming performance at Cranbrook College.
I'm bassist (and keys at times) in a 5-person band called 'The Spooks' (just for the moment though, because i really don't like our name that much).
Next Sunday we're playing at 'Cranbrook Idol' - a sort of battle of the bands for Cranbrook-based bands where the winning band walks away with a session at a professional recording studio.
Last year we came 2nd to the amazing Vagabonds, so this year we're going to win!
Come along and suport us! We really need people to vote for us once we get through to the second round!
I would also like to say, that I'm not really keen on the slant my blog is taking
I'd much prefer it to be a lot more literate and arty, less of this recounting business....
